I"ve had the EIS replaced recently and a cost of £1000. This is a common fault with the Mercedes w204. It"s basically the electronic steering lock which fails without warning and car will not start. Do your reseach.
Me and my partner love this car to bits and has been a pleasure to own and drive. Gets a huge amount of attention where ever it goes. Drive is extremely smooth and still powerful. With the brabus d6 kit it"s producing 280bhp 630nm. Sounds the nuts also.
Don"t get this mixed up with the awful reps that I"ve seen around.
