MGF 2001 in Tahiti blue. 1800cc, 84,000miles, MOT Feb 22. Mechanically very sound, lots of work done in past 3 years to bring it up to current condition. Engine runs well, no overheating, head gasket has been replaced, both oil and coolant are clear. parking brake advisories on current MOT has been dealt with. Body work is presentable with some small age-related marks, small parking scuff on rear bumper. Passenger door and off side rear bumper has been touched up in small area with rattle can. I would be getting door, bonnet and front bumper resprayed if keeping car. Hood is good, no leaks, also has wind stop.
Good Points: In past 2 years replaced: Battery, coil packs, HT leads, Timing belt, tensioner, water pump and cam seals, Rear brake callipers, discs and pads. Front brake discs and pads, Front callipers have been refurbished, SS braided brake hoses fitted all round. New Copper brakes and clutch pipe. New front shock absorbers, and near side front wheel bearing, front ball joints and track rod ends. New rear lower suspension arms and poly bushes. Good second-hand SS exhaust back box, MGTF seats and carpets, both front wings replaced. 4 wheels are powder coated gun metal grey and are unmarked, fitted with Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres. 6mm tread. Paperwork to support work undertaken in my 3year ownership.
Bad points:
Both sills have had small patches to rear. Paintwork may need further tidying up. Boot lock has been changed so key does not match ignition key.
Only selling as upgraded to MGTF 160. Car remains taxed and insured so can be taken for a test drive. Happy to answer any question or arrange viewing.
