this is a reluctant sale of my 850 r. I have run out of storage space and other projects need my attention so this has to go. if I could keep it I would happily as I love these things. I am an ex Volvo.mechanic and my era at Volvo was at the time of the 850s and v70s. I bought this as a none runner and soon discovered it just needed a coolant temp sensor...it would run for a few seconds then stall. I"ve since refurbed the wheels and put new goodyears all round on. its had fresh paint down the n/s due to lacquer peel. and at the same time I had the bonnet and bumpers redone and all the mouldings recovered...looks good for a 23 year old car.I"ve flushed out the auto gearbox with new fluid and changed the oil and fuel filters. its had a new coil pack as these get weak with age. its had a new battery new stainless steel exhaust which is subtle not loud.it"s also had a Rica chip which makes an impressive difference.as with all cars of this age there are a few things that need sortingthe o/s/r boot trim panel is broken and subsequently sqeeks whilst driving...needs new panel.the climate control heat control switch needs a little persuading to change from hot to cold...but the aircon is function and recently regassed.theres a small hole in the drivers seat and the suede needs a good d- bobble. it comes with service history but the previous owner put it in the glove box then the lock broke so it has a few surprises for the lucky owner if you can open. I"m sure you can get new lock kits just haven"t got round to it. last but not least is the mileometer has stopped working but since it"s been I storage since this happened the current miles are pretty much where it should be and I will supply the fixing kit for this as I havnt had chance to repair it.all in all it"s in very good condition for its age with no signs of rust. it does have a few little dents hear and there but I prefer the term battle scares given its age. the engine ticks over sweet as a nut and pulls well as it should. all other functions work aswell such as sport mode and all electrics. hopefully some1 will love this fast appreciating relic as I have.any questions feel free to ask and happy bidding.
