Alfa Romeo 156 JTD 2.4 diesel saloon car.
Selling my beloved Alfa Romeo for spares or repairs. Developed a fault last week and needs replacement dual mass flywheel and clutch.
To expensive for me to have done but for someone who does cars up and has access to cheaper parts perhaps not.
Car is just drivable by flooring clutch and pulling off at high revs, takes some effort to get it into 1 and 2 but once car has rolled past this
drives as normal (would be fine on a motorway).
MOT has now run out. Aside from this problem and a drop link which needs replacing I would not anticipate any other exam issues with car.
V5 document present.
Car otherwise in pretty good condition with only niggling faults...
CONS - Only one key (and another one dismantled). Central locking works fine but key does not operate remotely (had brakes done a year
ago and think something wasn"t reconnected). The old school door handle push buttons sometimes stick in in cold weather (need a grease),
re-insertion of key sorts this. One of the hidden door handles to rear doors has a minor fault, Still opens fine, just needs a pull up as you pull out.
Passenger side mirror doesn"t shift much but useable once in place. Air conditioning needs re-gassing (heating works perfectly). Some roughness
and very minor dinting here and there to bodywork. A little roughness to alloy wheels. Drop link needs sorting. Passenger side window cannot be
opened electronically from the drivers side window control pad but opens fine from the passenger side control pad. The digital readout thing is
a bit erratic. Required messages do appear fine but have the feeling the screen is dimmed when it shouldn"t be, not too important.
PROS - Lovely car to drive with real personality and stylish design inside and out. The powerful diesel engine is super for motorway driving and
packs a real punch but is really economical at the same time. Only 115k miles on the clock, nothing for this car. When I bought the car it had 89k
on the clock and had just had a new cambelt fitted. Bose sound system sounds brilliant. Great climate control system. Comes with original handbook.
Spare wheel present. Lovely interior with Recaro seats, small sporty steering wheel. Gearbox and clutch have been super smooth (until now!).
Very reliable motor that has started first time every time for 2 years (has been in daily use).
Selling with NO RESERVE. Feel free to inspect car though can only be viewed weekend and after 7pm weekdays. Will not end auction early.
Winner bidder must either pay full sum immediately by Paypal or pay £100 into Paypal within 24 hours and remainder in cash on collection.
Car must be collected within 3 days of auction end.
No last minute negotiations on price, the price is the price it goes for on eBay.
