OVERVIEW
You are viewing a lovely example of the desirable Volvo XC70 Cross Country AWD.  This was the third incarnation of this popular ‘all terrain’ estate which combines luxury, subtle presence and enough winter ability for the vast majority of us.  This type of car makes a great deal more sense than full size SUVs, with better road manners lower running costs and a fair bit more space.  The pick of the range is this D5 engined model – this provides decent economy for a big car but with 185hp still provides a decent punch.

The car has all the booklets and original Volvo documentation pack, including the service book stamped until the last one at March 2015 with either Volvo Main Dealers or Independent Specialists carrying out the work.  The cambelt was changed in 2012 so will not need doing for some time again.
 
EXTERIOR
This car is in great condition externally with the paintwork having a nice deep lustre to it and there is no rust anywhere on the car.  All panel gaps are even indicating a straight, undamaged car. The alloy wheels are in excellent condition with only the smallest of marks and scuffs.  It is even lacking the usual annoying little trolley dings and stone chips, no doubt due to the protective plastic mouldings around the whole car.  The only mark of note is on the front bumper where it has been scuffed and an untrained hand has attempted to cover it up.   That said, this is a lovely looking example all around and anyone would be proud to have it on their driveway.
 
INTERIOR
The interior is in excellent condition with the seats having no rips and noticeable wear – the seats are exceptionally comfortable.  All carpets are in good condition, no rips are present anywhere and just a few marks on the overmats as you might expect.  The boot condition has been preserved by use of the rubber liner. All dash lights go out as they should and all electrics work without exception.  I was told by the previous owner that the satnav was a little temperamental – I’ve not had the opportunity to test it yet but I suspect the disc lens needs cleaning but you should make your own mind up on this.  What is quite astounding is the quality of the sound system; it really does thump out and goes way beyond what you would expect of a factory system.  In summary, the inside of the car is a real pleasure to be in, be it a short trip to the shops or a long journey.
 
MECHANICAL
This car starts on the button, settles to characteristically burbly 5 cylinder idle.  When on the move, the car continues to do its job well with very strong acceleration and the auto gearbox selects smoothly both in standard and semiautomatic mode.  The car never gets hot and the aircon works well to keep you cool. The tyres are all Pirelli Scorpions which preform brilliantly on road and also when the terrain gets a bit rougher.  The only mechanical fault I can find is the petrol filler cap is not locking, which I would guess is an easy fix. 
 
SUMMARY
This is an extremely desirable car in high specification finished in a great colour combination and I believe it will be a great car for someone.
 
Viewing is highly recommended and anyone that does view will surely appreciate the excellent value this car represents.  I have tried to describe the car accurately but please remember that this is a 8 year old car and I may have missed some minor blemishes.
