Here we have my TVR 280 S reluctantly here to sell. The car has covered just under 52,000 miles from new with loads of service history, old MOT"s and even the original TVR handbook. The car was put back on the road last year by the previous owner after it had been kept in storage for 4 years, it was given a full service, MOT and was used for his wedding. I brought the car late last year with the intention of keeping for some time but my circumstances have changed and am looking for an enthusiast to take the car to the next level or enjoy as it is.
Like most TVR"s this age it needs some minor tlc but it starts and drives and the 2.8 V6 Ford engine sounds superb. It has just been MOT"d only needing the rear brakes adjusting and a few bulbs. Issues I am aware of that needing sorting are a slight coolant leak which I think is coming from near the radiator, nothing serious but will need sorting and the rear exhaust is hanging down lower than it should due to a broken bracket. The front indicator lenses have cracked in places. Some of the tyres are getting old and have some cracking in places but was only an advisory on the MOT.
The bodywork looks great and is in good condition apart from some cracking to the paint in places (I have photographed the worst bits). The wheels are the original diamond cut ones which are in fairly good condition. I have upgraded the rear lights to the smoked rs turbo ones which look superb, I will include the originals in the sale if you wanted to change them back. The roof is in very good condition with no rips etc, you can remove the targa panels or put the rear part down to be a full convertible. The interior is full leather and fairly clean and tidy and has a CD player with a built in amp and speakers in the boot (see picture) which sounds great!
I have advertised the car for just £3,950 ono and may accept close offers. This car will only appreciate in value and someone will be getting a real bargain.
