Lotus ELAN SE M100 Turbo.
My Father-in-law bought this car a few months ago as a summer play thing. However, he doesn"t really like it and has decided to part with it for something more sedate. Frankly, I think he"s mad - it"s brilliant!! He has asked me to take it to a car auction next week but I thought I"d try a quick advert to gauge interest. If you like it, you"ll need to be quick...it"s heading off to an auction in Norfolk on Monday if it"s not sold this weekend.
It is a 1990 and has only had three owners from new. I have EVERY invoice for ALL the work ever done to the car, these amount to over £23000. I also have every MOT certificate and tax disc. The last service was done in Feb 2015 and included the replacement of the timing belt and all associated components, the MOT was done at the same time, with no advisories. The larger brake upgrade has been done, and the rear suspension arms have been replaced. The front ones don"t require replacement yet, but I have a  new pair of genuine Lotus components that are increasingly difficult to source, that will come with the car. It has a stainless steel exhaust system, four matching tyres that are virtually unworn, and a full size spare wheel in addition to the spacesaver. The toolkit, which has usually disappeared is also present, albeit missing its penknife. If you are familiar with this model you will be aware that the paintwork is prone to chipping. This one is no exception proudly wearing 25 years and 118000 miles of chips on its ( largely original) paintwork. All in all its a very honest old thing
This is one of the most surprising cars I have ever driven. It is incredibly quick and handles beautifully! Unrivalled performance for the money -  a real hoot!
