Welcome to my auction for L118 BFV, my Raspberry pearl TVR GRIFFITH 500. This particular car was one of two 500 pre serp publicity cars and sister of L110BFV, the only difference being that this car did not come with power assisted steering. It was used in the TV program Lovejoy. 
I have owned this piece of TVR history for around 7 years but it has been stored in my garage for the last 4 while i undertook some much needed restoration work to the chassis. The body and engine were removed, outriggers replaced then chassis sanded down and painted with POR15 silver paint. Engine and body were replaced which is where things unfortunately came to a halt due to a lack of time and money i"m afraid.
Currently the car requires some restorations work. New carpets as i took the old ones out due to their age. It is fitted with cloth MX5 seats, the dashboard veneer also requires replacement. I would say that the hood could also do with replacing. The wheels require refurbishing and the paintwork is definitely showing its age. Unfortunately I had to replace the bonnet with one of a different colour. The engine starts and runs, pulling well through all the gears. It has been fitted with ACT performance coolant pipes and silicone hoses. The chassis is now in great condition. The car has no tax or MOT. I have a folder full of history for the vehicle all carried out by TVR dealer Hexham Horseless Carriages.
Unfortunately due to moving house I no longer have anywhere to store the car which is why it is now up for a very reluctant sale. The car would be an ideal project with a bit of love, time and money could be brought back to excellent standard with all the difficult work already carried out.
