1995 Lotus ELAN S2 limited edition number 313 of 800.
Registered new with Lotus Cardiff 9/2/95, This Lotus went to live on the isle of man in 2001 at around 27000 miles and has been there ever since before returning here in june this year.
Current mileage 65400 with service history and folder full of invoice"s.
The car has just had a new U.K MOT with no advisory items and is ready to re-register back onto a u.k number plate, A simple process for the new owner being originally a u.k registered car from new. This will likely revert too its original issue M registration which it carried from new.
Complete with its original Lotus build spec certificate listing - Lotus new racing green, Air conditioning, Cream leather seats with green piping, and Nardi steering wheel, A spec which it still retains today. The car has not been modified or messed about with.
This Lotus has had a lot of recent expenditure and is in very good health, engine, clutch, gearbox, are all good, the car has been set up properly and drives perfectly with full power and has no handling issues regarding suspension or knocks, main chassis and all suspension legs are in good order, this ELAN is simply ready to use and enjoy.
Recent expenditure - Has had a complete brake overhaul within the last 500 miles, All new discs, pads, 4x refurbished calipers, brake lines, all supplied by sj Lotus, Also has had all brake pipes replaced, New tyres, New mohair hood fitted in 2012 which is still in great shape, Exhaust replaced with stainless item, The alloy wheels have just been refurbished this week to a very high standard and look great(not in pics will ad later).
Cosmetic condition - The bodywork is all original and in very good condition, there are no Lotus stress cracks anywhere, The front bumper has been repainted at some point, The rest of the paintwork is very good and still retains a deep lustre, I would say it is likely that the car has been kept garaged.
Interior - In great shape, all facia in good condition with no sun bleaching to panels or gauges, The seats are in good order but are in need of a light re-colour, these are due to be done this week will ad pics later, carpets are still nice with original Lotus overmats.
Niggles - not many but just a few easy bits left to do these being, the drivers window is not working, the window switch does not click suspect this or worst case a window motor, The door exterior window rubber is slightly worn on passenger side ends, ok on drivers side..
This is a good opportunity to buy a useable S2 at an affordable price, and with the few bits mentioned sorted this will be a very nice car and surely a sound investment. Please don"t confuse it with the scruffy high mileage examples that are selling cheap, It is a genuine car and a good chance to get into S2 ownership at sensible money.
Car comes with all original handbooks, 2 x sets of keys with remotes(working), isle of man registration document.
