TVR Chimaera to be enjoyed this summer. It"s a real head turner with a throaty V8.
I"ve owned this car for 9 years and in that time, I"ve had the following major bits done:
Outrigger replacement (2014) with kit supplied from RT Racing
Dashboard replaced with Stainless Steel
Headlight replacement
Gaz gold reds
De-Catted and then re-tuned
Differential reconditioned
Camshaft upgrade to MC1 camshaft (Kent camshaft)
Steering rack renewal
A Toad alarm is also fitted which also operates the boot unlock

Here are some answers to some common questions:
Has the car been in an accident?
No, the car has not been in an accident. It is not CAT C or CAT D
Is there any finance on the car?
No
What is the mileage?
I bought the car with the odometer stuck at around 43k. It is still stuck at this.
Does the Speedometer work?
Yes
Is there any moisture (white delamination) in the corners of the windscreen?
No
Is the car damp in the cabin and or the boot?
Recently I"ve had an issue with water behind the passenger seat. This turned out to be caused by the side flaps not being taught causing the water to run inside. It is dry now that I have identified this.
Is the car garaged?
Over the past few winters I"ve been lucky enough to have a friend garage the car during the winter months. Typically the car is covered with a Leven hood cover
How were the Outriggers replaced?
This was done as a body-on replacement using a kit provided by RT Racing. The work was undertaken by Wallaces of Ayrshire

In order to complete the weld, a section was removed below the seats which was then reinstated.
How does the car start from cold?
I"ve taken a video where you can see me touch the exhaust manifold (showing that its cold) then starting. Sounds real nice!
Is there any damage /crazing on the bodywork?
I have tried to capture this in the photos. There are:
- circa 5 "microblisters" on the bonnet
- Some "crazing" below the wing mirror on the driver door
- A relatively deep mark on the passenger door below the mirror
- Marks around the boot lid
- General wear and tear scratches and scuffs attributed to a car its age
What is the condition of the chassis?
Good - check out the pictures
The outriggers were replaced in 2014
Is there any issues?
Yes
- Main Blowers are not working. Feet blowers are working
- Electric mirrors do not work
- Indicators do not cancel
- Interior could do with some TLC
- I have noticed that putting the foot down in high gears in low revs is causing the engine to hunt - possibly clutch slip
Does it have ABS or Power Steering?
No
Does it have AC?
No
What is the service history?
Since I have owned it, it has been serviced at least once a year by a local garage. The last service was in August last year and since I have done around 250 miles
I"ve collected a lot of history in receipts etc. that I have shown in the photographs
When is the MOT due?
A new MOT was put on the car at the beginning of May so there is a full year. The history can be found on

Probably not. I"m in the market for a Volvo XC90 of up to 5 years old as a replacement

Probably not, and not to Nigeria…

Can I view?
Yes, I can do viewings at G76 (Glasgow) any evening from 6pm or at the weekends. Test drivers will be expected to show proof of insurance.

I had listed the car earlier in the year and I apologise to anyone who asked questions and never got a response. I had some family issues at the time that I needed to deal with.
