vehicle description:

Super rare in the UK, the only one on the road apparently and not that common in Europe either. I was told the estates were hand built or hand finished at Pininfarina. This is a reliable car and really quite nice to drive showing 232376 kilometres or 145235 miles. I bought this originally as I"m a massive Lancia fan and to take to France but to be honest I need a workhorse and this is just too rare to be carrying building material so I"ve bought a Vauxhall instead! The car is parked in South London near Crystal Palace and viewing is encouraged. It does have some issues so do read the listing thoroughly please, ask questions and please view!
Bodily it is rust free but the previous owner was getting on a bit and wasn"t used to a Left Hand Drive car so there is rubbing damage from his gate post on the right side of the car which is purely cosmetic, there is a small rub on the left side and a dent on the rear right corner, all can be seen on the pictures.
The interior is a really comfortable place to be, the alcantara type of seat covers are worn of course and the driver"s seat is a little baggy but it scrubs up nicely and is supportive. Carpets are beige and are presentable but would clean up really nicely. The lower dash plastics are off but there to be put back on. All the switches and dials work as they should, I think I have tried them all! The air con blows cool and entertainment is taken care of by a decent Sony CD Radio. It has central locking, electric windows, electric folding and adjusting mirrors and electric tailgate switch and well weighted power steering, there"s the odd creak and grown but nothing to worry about. I opened the sunroof for the first time last week, it closed again but was a bit of a struggle and I don"t recommend doing that until you"re prepared to lube it up. Load cover and tools are in place. It comes with two complete sets of alloys, there"s two of each set fitted at the moment, there is a boot full of spares.
Mechanically it is a good strong engine, the Fiat / Lancia 2400cc TDS lump which is quiet in operation, economical and powerful. It starts well every time. It is fitted with a 5 speed manual gearbox, the clutch is in good order. I was told the cambelt was renewed in 2014 but that is purely anecdotal and I have no documents to prove this. Electrically everything works, lights, indicators etc although the indicator switch does not cancel. There is an issue which I have been told is something to do with the immobiliser but occasionally the indicator lights all come on and stay on, the ignition could be on or off, doesn"t matter if the car is running or not and it is unpredictable, so pretty annoying. It hasn"t happened the last few times I"ve used it but could happen at anytime and I"ve taken to disconnecting the battery when I park it up, this would need looking into as it will happen again!
Please look at all the pictures as they form a crucial part of the description, there is a walkaround video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTba151LO2M and another of the car starting and driving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hdE-_nQc5w Happy to sell anywhere but overseas bidders please contact before bidding.
So the car is parked in South London near Crystal Palace, it comes with 3 keys, a V5 in my name, copy of the import documents and some receipts, there is an MOT until November 2018, being a Lancia it is sure to need something for the next MOT the car has two sets of alloy wheels, one set with chrome hubcaps and other spares. The car is drive-able but bear in mind the indicator light issue and with this in mind the car is sold strictly as spares or repair in need of work known and unknown. Payment in cash please and collection within 1 week of the auction end, happy to meet you at a station, nearest being East Croydon or Norwood Junction. Happy to sell anywhere but overseas buyers please contact before bidding. Winning bidder please contact within 24 hours of the auction end. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
