 I bought this a few months ago for my wife and it ran perfectly until the day it suddenly decided it won't go into reverse. We have changed the front linkage bushings but still can't get it working properly and now can't get it into first or second either. The problem is definitely in the linkage between the gearbox and the gearstick as all gears select properly at the gearbox, I got it into reverse when it broke down by moving the selector from underneath the car before starting the engine and then drove it to the workshop using all the forward gears so I know there is nothing wrong with the gearbox or the clutch. It's probably a very simple fix for someone who knows what they're doing as the linkage is quite straightforward, but I don't know what I'm doing and don't have the time.
Apart from the gearbox problem, everything is in good condition for its age. The engine runs smoothly, the bodywork is in pretty good condition with just the odd mark here and there commensurate with its age and the underneath is very clean. It drives perfectly too. All in all a good reliable car for someone who can sort the gear linkage. MOT runs until 31st January 2017.
