This is an unexpected sale as i m now getting a van. The car works as it should be with no known issues (with the exceptions of those detailed below). It is a very reliable car that posed me no trouble. In fact this is my first Skoda and I have been very impressed with the quality of it.The things I should tell you are:1. there is the engine light on the dashboard which stay on. I bought the car like this 1.5 years ago. My garage confirmed what the trader told me at the time. It is the air sensor which is faulty. Engine is fine and so is the combustion. This was not an issue for the last 3 MOT"s done. My garage did cleaned the sensor out once and the light came off for a couple of months but then came back. I have not bothered with it and considered it was not worth to replace the sensor (can"t remember how much but think it was something silly like £200-300).2. About a year ago the locks were coming on and off by themselves. It is an electrical issue which my garage is telling is likely to come from one of the passenger door lock. This phenomenon brings the light on the dashboard to say one door is open (even if all are properly closed) and also it make the battery to have a slight leak so if the car is not used for few days, the battery would be flat. So I ve installed a kill switch beneath the bonnet to turn off battery when I don"t use the car. I also removed the central locking fuse to stop the doors unlocking themselves (I open doors manually with the key). A slight inconvenience I was happy to live with, but I am sure there is an easy answer to all of this. 3. Driver seat with a slight tear -see photo.
Other than that, all works nicely. There are 4 new tyres fitted maybe 200 mls ago. MOT until 21st Nov 2016 with no advisory. Last service done mid November 2015 (115 302 mls) with new front brake pads added. Very economical and fuel efficient.
If it wasn"t for having a van, I would not have sold the car.
