Smart CITY COUPE PURE (61Kw.), MY 14/11/2003
Had this for 2 years and its been very reliable, cheap to run and wicked fun to drive. Have bought my wife a 2013 model Smart now, so this must go. Engine was rebuilt by McSmart in Scotland about 2014, (@82,000 miles) I was told by previous owner, and it must have been or it wouldn"t have got to the 103,000 it"s on now! Has been maintained well in the time we"ve had it, ie regular 6000 mile oil and filter and gearbox oil changes. No evidence of the usual leaking into the boot. Has had a new wheel bearing for the mot, and also a new alternator. This cost several hundred pounds, hence my now having to sell it to try and recoup some funds. It seems that the cheap alternators don"t work on these, something to do with pulse signals from the ecu???? It has the six speed auto/or sequential manual gearbox, a full set of Conti Contact tyres(also bloody expensive, but Smarts have funny size wheels apparently) CD/Stereo player and an electric tyre pump included as Smarts have no spare. From new they only come with a can of tyre weld!
Full MoT till May next year, LOW start and NO reserve.
