 Here"s my lovely, reliable, smooth, quiet, economical, practical Peugeot 407 estate. The car is a quite high spec. A powerful 136 hp engine 6 speed gear box, electric windows, mirrors, central locking, alarm, full length glass roof with electric retracting roof liner, on board computer, loads of gadgets, blue tooth, dual zone climate control, fuel consumption calculation, etc... Its hard to believe that it"s covered over 180000 miles, it still returns over 50 mpg on average, doesn"t use any oil or water, is still a pleasure and very comfortable to drive and every thing works as it should (the air con wasn"t very cold on them couple of hot summer days we had though). I have some service receipts, one showing a timing belt kit fitted at 132000 miles. It seems this about the mileage for a belt change on these fantastic engines, so there"s plenty of miles left until the next change. I"ve had the car a year, I bought it to drive to work but my work has changed a bit so I"ll now use my van. It"s done a fair few miles and has some dinks and bumps on the bodywork, a nice scrape on the rear n/s wheel arch courtesy of me and my garden wall, but inside it"s still in very good condition with 3 full seat belts in the back and a big load space when the seats are folded down, they split 2-1 so you can carry passengers and loads of luggage.
