Up for sale here is our Alfa 147. We bought this car at the beginning of the year and showered it with shiny new parts as we intended to keep it for some time, so it"s had new front arb, an upper wishbone, rear lower arms and hub bushes and the all important gear selector housing while the arb was being done. However, it has rewarded our investment by blowing its headgasket and with an imminent house move, we really don"t have the time or inclination to sort it out so reluctantly selling for spares or repairs.
It has mot til October and is now sorned.
It"s the handy 5 door version (one of the few 5 door hatches that looks good in my opinion)
Great condition and very comfy leather interior with a/c, electric everything and superb Bose surround sound stereo with CD multichanger in the boot.
The general condition is very good with just a few age related marks. The car is light blue, not silver as it may appear in the photos.
The engine management light is on and there is a warning message on the dash as can be seen in one of the pics.
The car does run but I would strongly advise towing it home as coolant has got into the oil and there is now a top end rattle which I believe to be the cam variator. This should be a relatively easy fix with an exchange or reconditioned head and new gasket but I just don"t have the time to do it myself.
