Fabulous Audi 80 Cabriolet 2.6 V6
Here I have my own Audi Cabriolet for sale. I have owned the car for nearly 3 years, purchasing from a well established independent Audi specialist "AP Engineering" in Kent and I am the 6th owner. When I purchased the car it already had a load of work done to it by the previous owner at "AP Engineering". When I bought the car it had just over 108k on the clock and now it only has over 114k (may rise); living down south and commuting into London daily it has been a weekend runner only. I have spent a ridiculous amount of money in maintaining this car and carrying out small jobs to make it as perfect as it can be. This car is not concourse nor will it ever be but for me it is in superb condition, with no rust anywhere on the bodywork. The exterior is very presentable not mint but very, very good. There are a few stone chips that can be addressed, a small 1p size car park dink kindly done in the Tesco Frien Barnet car park a week ago. It can be sorted with a smart repair for around £80. There are a few imperfections around the car too which are classed as normal wear and tear but I would also stress that from two feet away you cannot see any of them but I have to be honest and mention this.
This is a genuinely lovely and original car not been messed around with and maintained regardless of cost. These cars do not come available in this spec very often and with the summer approaching I am hopefully selling to someone who will use it for what is intended for and who really appreciates this type of vehicle. I have prepared the car by having it MOT"d, serviced and a health check. I have also had the car washed and cleaned locally but I have kept the engine as it is. I want the buyer / prospective buyer to see the engine as it is and not overly prepared as for me it is much more honest and something I much prefer as a buyer. However the engine is still very clean and naturally presentable due to the amount of usage it has.

Less perfect points
1cm chip in the windscreen that was repaired by Auto-glass last year and not an MOT advisory but have to mention, there are also a few other stone chips in the glass but not cracks.Few marks around the paintwork as mentioned above but nothing that detracts from the car once a couple of feet awayRoof is solid, waterproof and in good condition but I would say the rear window is 90% perfect, there are a few light scratches and a few ripples (in the pictures) but not cloudy. This can be ironed out with some heat and patience but visibility is very good and is clear enough for me.One alloy wheel has a scratch on it that is not very noticeable, the spare alloy is near perfect and not been used yet so can be swapped over and this one used as a spare. Some other small imperfections due to driving short distances
Rear exhaust box was repaired and resprayed by Autowerk, it is showing signs of superficial rust but does not blow and is perfectly serviceable
There is a Sigma alarm in the car. All the wiring is still in place and the fob is working but the control box itself was removed due to a fault (it kept going off randomly) I have box and if you can repair it just needs fitting and testingSlight wheel buckle to one wheel when at motorway speed, this can be straightened but affects one wheel to my knowledge, normal driving it is not noticeable. This wheel can be put on the back or the spare is reported to have no buckling issue and is not an advisory on the MOT
Original aerial replaced by previous owner with aftermarket one but works fine
Overall Summary
Very, very good original car with no work needed for the summer. I have enjoyed and loved this car sparingly over the past three years and as you can see I have spent just under £4k on parts and labour. This has been a labour of love and will not disappoint. Anyone buying one of these cars will no what to look out for and I have made sure it all works. This is possibly one of the nicest original cars available right now is arguably one of the nicest combinations of colour, interior and wheels. This is the second one I have owned, I had an almost identical "T" plate 2.8V6 model with electric roof and A/C, I sold that one and kept this due to the condition of this one. The A/C on the other car required a new condenser, re-gas and broke again after sorting out. The electric roof never worked in my ownership, the pump had seized and the rams leaked. Also, the motor had burnt out not being able to power the roof so used as a manual instead. The 2.8 has slightly more power but there is not that much between them as they are a cruising car not a motorway car. This is not the top spec model but almost the top spec model and more importantly it is in great condition to just use for many years ahead. Also, just to add. You really need the V6 model when buying this type of car, there are older versions and 1.8 versions that are just not powerful enough to pull the car properly. The over engineered weight of the car requires the V6 which is powerful, refined and easy to drive. Depending on how you drive I can cruise at around 30mpg on a motorway run.
