“The car is a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser, it is 16 years old the body work is in pretty good shape. Other than a few scratches on the front Bumper it cleans up pretty well, there is a chip in the windscreen on the passengers side, 1st time it's on the MOT since it was done 6 years ago. The interior is pretty good as well cloth so it's stood the test of time the drivers seat is showing signs of wear but no holes in the fabric or seat cover itself. There is a mark on the rear near side passengers door card.Now the good stuff, all the wheels have been refurbished and it has four nearly new tyres on it, The Engine has been remapped to 150bhp, The air filter has been replaced with it has K+N cone air,The brakes have vented , drilled discs all round with Green pads on the front standard on rear. Camber bolts on front axle to cut down on torque steer, The suspension has been replaced with KYB Shocks and lowered with custom coil springs, the rubber bushes have been replaced with Nylon bushes.”

The car is 2002 Chrysler Pt Cruiser 2.2 Turbo Diesel.
I have had some modifications done to the car over the time I have owned it.
The engine has been re-mapped to 150 bhp, doesn’t sound a lot but being diesel there is a lot of torque involved and its acceleration is surprising to say the least, to help the Engine to breath I have changed the standard air filter to a K&N cone air filter.
the suspension, all the Shock Absorbers have been replaced with KYB shocks, the springs have been replaced from standard to factory spec lowered springs front and rear, all the bushes have been replaced with nylon bushes except the Watling linkage on the rear suspension set up
The Brakes have been changed out from standard, callipers are still the same however the discs are drilled and vented green pads on the front, standard on the rear. It has camber bolts fitted to the front axle to cut down on the torque steer. The next job would have been the exhaust, not that it needs a new one. You could class it as a sleeper to finish the job you would need to up-grade the exhaust, straight through with a bigger bore then tie all the mods together with a re-map on a rolling road. It would be nice to know what you get. A couple of years ago the underside was Wax-oiled to give some protection from the elements
I was remined by a member of the family it let me down once, I was visiting family in Milton Keynes and my route took me through the town of Buckingham, I hit a rather deep pot hole, I pulled over to check the car, see if there was any wheel damage there was none so I carried on to Milton Keynes, I went over a speed table , after getting a push off my nephew (who was recovering for the night before,threw his guts up in my parents garden once his dad gave him a lift down to their house) the offside drive shaft failed hence to say the car returned to Bristol via the AA.
I managed to replace the drive shaft and no problems since. Other than routine maintainace and Mots the car I can honestly say has been reliable. The car is 16 years old it bears some damage on the body work due to being parked into day’s supermarket car parks the odd trolley dents a few scratches in the paint work nothing serious and does polish up well as you can see in the photos.
It has a chip in the windscreen it’s in the passenger’s side swept area. As you’re aware it has to an ‘advisory’ on the MOT. 1st time in 6 years has it’s appeared on the mot. I suppose what I’m trying to say is it is a shiny car but it’s an old shiny car, the car has some character about it. There is a mark on the door card rear near side rear other that the interior is in good shape new mats all around. I will be sorry to see it go, I’ve had a lot of fun in it, but due to lack space to park where I live is now an issue so I have to sell it.
In the boot is assortment of spare parts the original stereo unit, front springs spare nylon bushes and other thing"s I"ve collected over the years of ownership will be going with the car.
