This is a super 4X4 being the ‘top of the range’ model and having the option of 2 wheel drive for general everyday driving , with part time or full time 4 wheel drive for ‘off roading’ or for when the road conditions become severe in the winter. You also have low ratio full time 4 wheel drive for really tricky conditions.
To drive it is just like any other car, unlike some of the more ‘Agricultural 4x4s. The steering is nice and light, the automatic gearbox smooth through the changes. There is a radio and CD player, air conditioning, full leather trim, electric windows front and rear, cup holders, centre armrest and glove box, document pockets behind the front seats, Jeepover mats front and rear, remote central locking and alarm. The rear tailgate has two functions, pull the handle lightly to release just the glass window for easy access to the boot or pull it fully and both the tailgate and glass hatch open simultaneously allowing full access.
Being the 3.7 litre engine the car has plenty of punch for towing etc but with the LPG system it is as economical as any 2.5 litre diesel. The car switches automatically to LPG once running temperature is reached so there is nothing complicated about the system and it all works perfectly. I put some LPG in last week and I paid 58p per litre so it is about half the price of petrol or diesel. The car has a 90 litre tank so you don’t need to fill it up too often either. It is a multi point system so very efficient.
The car drives very well with no known faults. The 4 wheel drive works in both low and high ratios. I have been driving it daily for the last 6 months and it has never missed a beat.
The service book has 13 stamps in at; 5415, 9126,11559,16884,19730,23996,27404,30581,33085,36553,40648,43485 and 68844 miles
The interior is in very nice condition with little sign of wear. It has rubber Jeep over mats fitted to protect the carpets.
The bodywork is all very nice with the exception of a light scuff on one rear wheel arch and some damage to the front bumper (photographed) which I have never bothered to get repaired. Because of this damage the car is recorded as Cat D .
I have the V5 for the car and the current MOT is until 21st September 2016. It is currently taxed but under the new laws you will have to tax it a soon as you register it in your name.
