Find out where we are FOR SALE; Beautiful Celeste Blue Monte with only 27k miles.
EQUIPMENT
Electric Windows, JVC Radio / CD, Cloth option Interior, Spare wheel, Upgraded glass rear buttresses, 12v Socket, Dash clock, Lockable glove box.
EXTERIOR
This beautifully proportioned little coupe marked the in-house debut for the famous Pininfarina styling house. This original panel example is finished in a stunning period powder blue which shows consistently well; perfectly accentuating the popular wedge profile of the time. The underside also passed our ramp inspection with flying colours, finding both the floor pans and turrets as original and in very good order. Of particular note are the clear rear buttresses from the Series 2 car – enabling better visibility and arguably improved styling. Bumpers, plastics and trim are in fantastic condition.
Clearly proud of their design achievement, Pinin show their influence twice on both sides of the car – company badge on the rear quarter and a clever chrome logo at the base of the A pillar.
INTERIOR
The cabin is unashamedly 70′s with a bonanza of Marble effect leatherette, coarse twill and checked cloth. The dash top presents very well with a series of vents atop a leather bolster that curve into the door cards – hiding the door handles. Seats are unmarked displaying excellent integrity while carpets and mats have suffered only slightly in the driver’s pedal box; commensurate with age and mileage.
Fixtures and fittings appear in good original order with the only addition being a JVC head unit.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The patinated engine bay is accessed by a unique lid that lifts from the off side, displaying the 2.0 litre engine and full size spare wheel. The car has been used sparingly in recent years, reserved for the special occasion including Lancia club events, although the car received a full service just 300 miles ago to include water pump, timing belt, fuel pipes, starter motor and a full fluid refresh.
Suspension turrets are original, as is the rear chassis shelf showing build info.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The monoblock ‘butterfly’ alloys present very well wrapped in Goodyear GT2 rubber. The tyres display an even tread pattern with plenty of life yet.
Brakes are in good order, pulling up the 1,000kg kerb weight with ease.
HISTORY FILE
This Series 1 was first registered in August of 1978 by R.Harper of Crownhill, with accompanying details of the original Warranty certificate and first service at the supplying dealer present in the history file.
There are a multitude of service invoices for work carried out, inclusive of Brake / Clutch master cylinders, rotor arm and both rear wishbone ball joints alongside two used car sales invoices & MOT certification for the last 20 years – verifying the current and correct mileage.
The original Montecarlo Instruction booklet is accounted for as well as a Lancia S.p.A Shop manual.
Please visit our website for a full write up and additional photographs.
The car is supplied having had an extensive intake inspection. Warranty, Finance, Part Exchange and Worldwide shipping are all available on request.
