First things first, this is just a feeler of interest advert for now. If it is something that seriously interests you, please get in touch. Email is my preference. Opinions and comments welcome on all fronts.
I have a 1988 Lancia Delta Integrale 16v.
I purchased the car many years ago, and within 3 days of ownership it spun a big end bearing.
Since then it has been dry stored in a garage. It has had a rebuilt engine and cylinder head fitted to it. It starts, but if I remember correctly I couldn’t get it to idle. New oil pump, water pump, cam belt and so on obviously fitted whilst the engine was out. Inside, well a mouse made himself comfortable on the rear set so needs tidying up and repairing. I do have a second set of seats however.
The body work is in good condition, there is a dent on one of the wings and the odd rust spot – but in my opinion – not bad at all.
All the interior trim is there, but currently not fitted to the car. The brakes and suspension will need an overhaul as well.
So why the price. This is what I am willing to let this investment go for. Running, it would be another £5000 at least on top of what I am asking. Sitting doing nothing, it is not costing me any money either – although the space back would be a bonus! For someone with the time to spare, and the space, this is a perfect way to own an iconic car and make yourself some money whilst having some fun.
It will come with an array of spare parts. Engine block, new oil pump, turbocharger, second interior, koni adjustable suspension (used), camshafts, sensors and so on. Basically, all of the parts to put it back together and have a complete car + many spares to sell on.
Obviously the photos of the complete car are not an accurate representation on the car in its current state. Picture a half finishing project with wheels facing in all directions and a pile of spares and you will be close to the mark!
