Welcome to the auction of this Lancia Delta 1.3 LX. Manufactured 1990, RHD, metallic blue with blue check cloth trim. The original design from which evolved the wonderful Lancia Delta Integrale.
Best described as a well used project it has clearly been much loved in the past. Now showing 143K miles, the paintwork has been resprayed and re-lacquered a long time ago and not very well which has caused widespread crazing to the paint surface. It has the odd supermarket dink and DIY paintwork and bumper repair. Deserves to be repainted properly as part of a caring rebuild. The engine looks to have been out and worked on, runs well, with no odd noises or smoke. Lots of Waxoyl everywhere, there are braided brake lines, stainless exhaust from the flexi back. Almost new Pirellis all round, new front pads. New cam belt kit (not fitted).
We had bags of fun in this last summer, the car was reliable both short and long journeys and quite a bit of preparation for next MOT was made. I put it in for MOT in December with the plan to do the work when the weather warmed up, ready for this summer. Alas due to an injury at work it will be some time before I can be fiddling with cars. It won"t do it any good just sitting around unused, so here it is, all ready for a new caring owner. Could be a fairly straightforward rolling restoration or maybe a basis for a track car. Considering it"s age it"s not too bad at all. The Lancia Motor Club gives excellent support and spares are plentiful and inexpensive. Otherwise maybe fit for spares to support an Integrale rebuild(!) but that would be a shame as there are so few left now.
