Lotus 21 Inspired Tot Rod This is a unique replica and a total one off It has a Tubular steel powder coated chassis with a rolled aluminium body. Independent 4 wheel suspension, inboard shock absorbers, as the real car and front disc brakes. This is a miniature car, NOT A TOY! Powered by a 37cc 4 stroke petrol engine driving a reduction box/differential via a centrifugal clutch and chain. Engine, transmission, fuel tank and exhaust are all mounted on an easily removable sub-frame to ease maintenance. Would suit a 4 to 7 year old defending on height and build Adjustable pedal box 50 - 65 cm from seat back Adjustable throttle stop to restrict speed. Length 175 cm, width 75 cm, cockpit width 25 cm. Parental supervision essential, it is a miniature car not a toy. It is designed for pottering around the garden with the speed reduced to 5 MPH or so. It could probably achieve 10-12 MPH if the adjustable throttle was fully open! Drives well over short grass, gravel and obviously tarmac. Some surface rust on the chrome rear suspension, and other minor components Please study the pictures, more available upon request The Lotus does have a few "racing" dents, but on the whole it is very presentable with its period looks (See pictures, particularity the nose) Motor sport in all forms is dangerous, the 4 point harness should be used along with a helmet, sturdy shoes and protective clothing. This is a one off design and has no safety certification, it is for the purchaser to decide if it is suitable for their child to drive with parental supervision at all times.
