“Subject to a full strip and rebuild 19 years ago, been stored in a garage ever since. Car was stripped right down to the central chassis which was sand blasted, primed and painted two pack red, original print photos showing process. Car was built back up using genuine Lotus parts from Peter Boshier Jones in Cardiff, original invoices with parts listed included in sale along with other photos of build, including many receipts, photos, insurance documents, MOT certs etc. Current status, engine running from remote tank, main tank is clean but ideally needs new hose. Clutch stuck from sitting, should be able to free this up. Body and interior were not renovated and are a little scruffy but very nice, interior vinyl is the rare Oatmeal and needs a deep clean, needs new carpets. Bumpers have fresh chrome (£800 receipt included) and are still in unopened wraps, eight brand new Continental tyres, four brand new alloys with £800 receipt, four original stripped and repaired original alloys.”

Subject to a full chassis and engine strip and rebuild 19 years ago by a race engineer who raced Formula Ford (his FF is in one of the original photos that will come with the Lotus). Has been stored in a dry garage ever since. Car was stripped right down to the central chassis which was sand blasted, primed and painted two pack red, original print photos showing process.
Car was built back up using genuine new Lotus parts from a local Lotus dealer in Cardiff, original invoices with parts listed included in sale along with other photos of build, including many receipts, photos, insurance documents, MOT certs etc.
Four brand new alloy wheels (£800), 8 brand new Continental tyres (four fitted to the new alloys, one for the spare and an additional 3 for any future need), front and rear bumpers re-chromed, still in wrapping from S&T Electroplate (£800), four original alloy wheels stripped and one professionally repaired.
Current status, engine running from remote tank, main tank is clean but ideally needs new hose. Clutch stuck in from sitting, should be able to free this up. Body and interior were not renovated. I have the 130/5 badge and all other badges (Lotus bonnet emblem, Lotus letters for the boot etc) safely stored in a bag. Also comes with a workshop manual in a ring binder and a book on the history of the Elan.
I bought the car locally and intended to complete, but time is against me and I have other projects, so that’s the only reason for sale. New V5 in my name, taxed (free) and fully insured with Adrian Flux.
