I acquired the vehicle three years ago and covered around 15,000 pleasurable miles over weekends and holidays during which I explored her full potential in terms of speed and glorious sound.
I love many things about Maserati’s and here are by top four:
Their sublety which hides their true capabilitiesTheir rarity which endorses their individualityTheir sound- not too loud but just enough to turn a headTheir beautiful lines - especially the arse on this one!
You will note that I had the bottom end rebuilt in 2015 at 78768 miles. This was owing to a common fault with the crankshaft core plugs which have a habit of dropping out being pressed rather than screwed in position. McGrath had these threaded to cure the issue and in the 11000 miles since she’s not skipped a beat.
In addition to the work carried out above the front suspension was rebuilt at 67465 miles by Emblem and much of the rear by McGrath at 78768 miles.
I’ve just had the oil pressure sender replaced with a modified unit as the original ones were poorly made and always failing.
The exhaust is the very best Larni Sports version - far better than the original.
I have the obligatory Red key and a receipts folder bursting with every service invoice, tax dis, MOT and Service manual CD as well as the Manufacture"s fully stamped Service book. Just noticed that The CD multi-changer has stopped working :(
Bodywork
As you can see from the pictures she’s in great shape – well above average for her age however there are a few small blemishes – stone chips, small dings both easily remedied if you’re looking for perfection!
Engine
As I mentioned above I’ve had no issues since the rebuild and have simply ensured that fluid levels are maintained however the next service is due (small one) and you should factor this into your costs as I have reflected this in the price.
Interior
There are no rips or tears and everything is as it should be which cocoons you within a leather bound cockpit as you enjoy the burble and roar of the exhaust – clearly with the windows down!
Tyres
The rear tyres are nearing their end of life – last time these cost me a little over £300 for the pair – again I have reflected this in the price of the vehicle.
