Exterior
Here is the opportunity to own an increasingly rare car; a 996 Carrera 4S coupe with manual gearbox and extremely low mileage. This Porsche is also the latest 996 we have come across, having first been registered on 31st March 2005, making it an 05 registration. The general condition of the car is outstanding; the bodywork is untainted with no car park dents or scratches and every body panel is perfectly straight and original. The body colour is Arctic Silver (colour code L92U), which is fast becoming the classic 996 colour and looks fantastic on the wide bodied coupe. This particular car also has the sought after spec of being equipped without a sun roof, which is something we and the majority of our customers prefer as it presents a sleek and clean looking roof line. The paintwork is fabulous with a deep and vibrant metallic shine, free from any blemishes or swirl marks and benefitting from a full body soft head machine polish and hand wax while in with us. There are a few minor stone chips to the nose, but this is all there is in the way of imperfections. The headlights have maintained their youthfulness, remaining free from the yellow oxidisation that they commonly suffer from. The Porsche runs on it"s original and genuine 18 Porsche Turbo wheels, which were specifically made for the wide body of the 4S and Turbo models. All four alloys are in presentable condition and have the correct N rated Michelin Pilot Sport tyres fitted with good amounts of tread.
Interior
The cabin is filled by a Metropol Blue coloured leather interior, which makes a fantastic and classy looking contrast to the silver exterior. The condition really represents the ultra-low miles that this car has covered, with very minimal wear to be seen. The optional extra sports hard back seats with shoulder supports have very little wear signs, even to the side bolsterings, which often suffer from cracking. The steering wheel is also a sign of how few miles this Porsche has covered, still looking fresh and totally undamaged. The other areas of the interior such as the carpets, dash, door-cards and optional extra alcantara suede headlining etc are also all in brilliant order. Of course, every electrical function works, including the air con and the two remote key fobs that are present. There is an impressive head unit installed that connects to mobile devices and has touch screen operation. In addition to the sports hard back seats and alcantara suede headlining, this 4S also has optional extra spec such as the switchable sports exhaust, white counter dials and the Tequipment aluminium embodied gearstick and handbrake. The optional extra codes are as follows: C16, XLF, X71, X97, X98, 375, 376, 425, 440, 539, 540, 567, 665, 666, 670, 09991.
Mechanics
It is evident from the way the Porsche drives and performs that it has been cared for meticulously. The engine sounds phenomenal with it"s Porsche switchable exhaust (PSE), which allows the exhaust note to be changed at the click of a switch between a modest note and one that resembles that of thunder. There are no untoward internal noises from the engine, no smoke from the tail pipes and the underneath is as dry as a bone. The clutch and manual gearbox change through the six gears smoothly and with precision and the large Turbo brakes that the 4S model benefits from stop the car tremendously, having had the front discs and pads renewed while in with us for genuine Brembo parts. The C4S model boasts a stiffer chassis than that of a normal Carrera and as such offers an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding driving experience in the corners. This particular car feels utterly tight through it"s steering wheel is free from any unwanted noises from any suspension component.
Service history
There is a full service history present and the car has just undergone a major service with us including; oil, oil filter, air filter, auxiliary belt, spark plugs, gearbox oil and ignition coil packs, as well as the front brake discs and pads being renewed with genuine Brembo parts and also a very recent battery renewal. We will also put the car through an MOT for the new owner so it will come with 12 months MOT.
Every service completed has been by Porsche main dealer or Porsche independent specialist and the intervals are as follows: 08/09/2006 - 9,227 miles, 01/03/2007 - 12,440 miles, 03/04/2008 - 17,778 miles, 29/01/2010 - 33,434 miles, 30/12/2011 - 43,428 miles, 02/12/2013 - 48,132 miles, 03/12/2018 - 55,198 miles.
All the original Porsche booklets are present in the original Porsche owners wallet and there is a folder of paperwork evidencing some works that have been carried out on the car, as well as the previous MOT certificates and HPI reports etc.
