1996 Proton ‘Compact’ 1.3 Lsi Rally car. SPARES OR REPAIR
This Proton was left in the UK by a friend when he moved to California. It was raced by him and his friend around the world, and has now been sat in a barn for a couple of years since. He has given it to me as it had overstayed it’s welcome and needed collecting from the farm where it was stored.
I was considering freshening it up and competing myself, but I simply don’t have the time or space.
It has been obviously been built to meet quite strict Rally regulations, and has been rallied at a Lombard event, with battle scars evident!
Here is the list of obvious bits:
Terra trip 303 plus timer.
Graytronics intercom
Comms radio antenna
SPA design fully plumbed electronic fire extinguisher system with button inside car and also on bonnet.
6 Colway forest tyres with good tread 175/70/R13 805. All mounted on wheels.
Thick aluminium sump guard and fuel tank guard.
Safety devices roll cage.
No seats or harnesses as they are out of date anyway.
That is about all I know or can see, there may be other bits.
The V5 was lost, but can easily be applied for.
The car is very tatty and has obviously got a few big dents as visible in the pictures. The car has no battery so will need to be trailored away.
