For sale is a lovely and totally original Rover 216 convertible, rare pre facelift model
It is owned by the lad who works for us, and he isn"t very computer literate, so I am listing.
It"s a car that was bought new by his mum"s best friend. A couple of years later she then bought it off her, she had it a long time, then gave it to her son, and he gave it to his brother.. Something like that. So it"s been in almost the same family all it"s life.
The lad likes the car, but after a minor ding in it last year (bumper) he doesn"t want to ruin it, so has bought a newer car.plus the simple fact is, he really isn"t into top down driving anyway!
Good points:
It has been garaged (upto 2 years ago) and kept well serviced too.
It"s had no welding, nor needs any. It"s not mint, but probably the most original early model you"ll find.
Has MOT, tax, ect,, so it can be driven home.
Runs lovely. no issues. drives straight. drive it to Timbuktu.
A new approved towbar has recently been fitted (on a whim!) but never actually used. (ball is clean!)
4 new recent tyres.
Bad points:
Front bumper, and a little of the bonnet has a minor scrape. and a couple of other small dents.
At some stage the hood will need replacing, as it has shrunk. (but is watertight for now)
Car is kept at Charing, Kent, near Ashford, and can be seen weekdays.
