Welcome to the private sale of my Rover 75. 2.5 V6 Auto CONNOISSEUR (TOP SPEC).
This car has a BRAND NEW MOT, 4 new springs and Dunlop tyres fitted just over a year ago and a FULL TANK of Shell V Power petrol.
However it is being sold for SPARES OR REPAIR...READ ON...
I am a Rover enthusiast and a Rover club Member. This has been my weekend car and has only covered 6500 miles in the past four years. It is finished in majestic dark blue with unmarked cream leather interior, and a lovely walnut dash and steering wheel (quite rare).
There is no corrosion underneath, the carpets and boot are dry and rust free. All electrics work, even the rear blind. The headlamps have been polished and are sparkling clear. There is a 6-CD changer and premium sound system.
It drives without fault, has silky-smooth gearchanges and pulls like a train with its V6 engine.
When I purchased the car It had a pre-mot by by Manby Motors in Louth who advised me it was a solid car and also by Trikey near Louth (well known in Rover Club) who checked it with his T4 diagnostic and found it clear of faults.
In December 2018 (3500 miles ago) I fitted four new coil Springs, a new battery and Rover windscreen washer pump, oil, filter and coolant changed (all from Rimmer Bros) and and four x Dunlop Sport Blu Response tyres fitted.
The total cost of parts was £643 (all receipts available). The battery still has around two years guarantee left
This year my garage has fitted a new cam sensor and brake pipe, headlamp switch, replacement track rod end & anti roll bar link. They confirmed there is still no corrosion underneath. The new MOT has no advisories.
However, shortly after this year"s mot in January the car displayed an error code which was traced to the cam sensor which was subsequently changed. However the car now shows Engine Immobilised on dash and will not start.
This may be the immobiliser, ECU or possibly something quite simple but my garage does not have the T4 diagnostic equipment so I have now decided to sell it as Spares or Repairs.
The car is located near Hartlepool and will need to be collected by trailer. i am hoping a Rover enthusiast will buy the car and keep her running. She is far too good to scrap and has many years life left in her.
The tyres, battery and full tank of petrol will MORE THAN COVER the asking price!!
