“The car is in above average condition for its age. Internally leather seating has no rips or tears with the exception of damage to the side panel of the driver's seat. Internal electrics all in working order but airconditioning needs recharging.The body work shows little sign of corrosion. No corrosion to the doors, but some lacquer peeling around one door handle. A very small amount of corrosion on the tailgate. A small amount of corrosion on three of the wheel arches, but only surface corrosion. Some scratches on the bumpers but no dents.The engine pulls well and does not use oil. Gearbox hesitation from 2nd to 3rd. Two adviseries on MOT. Front lower ball joint and hanbrake travel. The petrol breather pipie is corroded and will need replacing”

vehicle description:

 The Rover MOT expires on 13th October 2015. It has two advisary notes. The parking brake lever has little reserve travel and slight play in the lower front suspension ball joints.
I purchased the car as a category C insurance write off. An improperly parked car rolled across a car park and damaged the rear offside passenger door. The category C was placed on the car because of the cost of replacing the door,compared with the value of the car. I subsequently replaced the door with one from a scrapped vehicle of the same colour. The car was then successfully VIC tested enabling it to have a new registration certificate. The overall condition of the body work is good. There is a little corrosion over the front wheel and rear wheel arches. Some repair work has been previously carried out on the sills. Internally the car is in good condition, but the faux leather side panel of the drivers seat has been badly worn by the seatbelt. There is a hesitation in the gear change from 2nd to 3rd. You can compensate for this by accelerating into the change. The car pulls well and there are no oil leaks. Since its last service the car has not required any further oil top up, indicating  that it is not burning or leaking oil.
The air conditioning needs recharging. There are some scratches on the front and rear bumpers, and a few small stone chips on the bonnet. Around the handle on the rear near side door there is some peeling of the lacquer. With the exception of the air conditioning the electrics including the central locking, electric heated seats, electric seat adjustment,electric windows and the electric sunroof are fully operational.
The petrol breather pipie is corroded and care needs to be taken when filling the car, to avoid petrol bubbling back, despite a temporary repair. This will clearly need to be replaced before the next MOT.
