Chimaera 400 in Starmist Blue with Magnolia / cream interior with 47600 miles.
I have owned this Stunning car for nearly four years but a new business venture means it is reluctantly up for sale. It is sold with a full and comprehensive service history
I brought the car from TopsCats racing with a full service history in 2012. When I brought the car they replaced all the outriggers and they are still in excellent condition.
The car has the usual Chimaera spec with the following factory extras
PAS
Air conditioning (I will get this regassed)
Rear Speakers
Otter switch / fan override
Half leather
Leven Switch gear (Stalks, handbrake, gear stick)
Roof Cover
In addition to these I have added the following
- Immaculate Estoril wheels with nearly new Toyos on the rear and new Toyos on the front
- Clive F Y Pipe to replace the main CAT
- Removed the Pre Cats
- Sleeved exhaust
- ACT Elbow pipe
- K&N Air filter
- Meta Alarm but re programmed Fobs with boot release. Two fobs, two keys
- Alpine head unit with Bluetooth and handsfree and USB port (have the original and the CD Changer is in the boot)
During my ownership it has only been serviced by TVR specialists and work carried out other than servicing has included
Replacement clutch and lightened flywheel
New front top and bottom wishbone
Braided brake pipes
New radiator
New Air Con matrix
Manifold gaskets replaced
Powerflex bushed
Full alignment check carried out with last service
New rear screen
New rear pads and discs
Heater control valve (blows cold all the time)
The interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tares.
The car pulls well in all the gears and handles and behaves as it should. I have been informed by my mechanic that it is one of the best 400 he has driven. It has never let me down and has only been driven a handful of times in the wet. It is garaged overnight.
The car is fully decatted and sounds amazing, this also lowers engine bay temps and adds a couple of BHP. I still have the main CAT so this can be put back in by the new owner but once you hear how this car sounds you will not want to.
As you can see all the weaknesses of the Chimaera have been addressed and it is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner. It has a new MOT.
