Bought as a project, and has had the following upgrades:
 
·         Full Engine rebuild / replacement with
·         STI Version 8 Bottom End
·         P1 Heads
·         Uprated Forged Pistons
·         New 20g Turbo
·         Full Revolution 3” Stainless Steel Exhaust System including Downpipe
·         Scorpion Up Pipe
·         (All professionally installed by Subaru specialist upon purchase of the car)
·         Samco Intake and Turbo Hoses
 
·         I have an STI Version 6 TMIC ready to go on (With adapter and Samco Hose)
 
It was my intention to make this car into a fully restored classic, however, plans have changed and I just don’t have the time.
 
I can give a full history of the car, as it has been local pretty much since new.
 
To make this car an absolute mint car (for sale elsewhere for upto £15k), I would estimate around £2000 would need to be spent, however, if you have the time to check forums etc and obtain some second hand parts, it could be done for less.
 
This genuinely is an investment opportunity, there are few of these left now, and nearly none with such low genuine mileage.
 
I have spoken to Bob Rawle (BR Developments), and he has quoted £1100 for supply and installation of a new ECU with MAP (needed on all classic cars if to be remapped). Bob is arguably one of the best in the business, and I would not recommend using someone without his pedigree, as this could just leads to tears and a blown engine.
 
In addition to the MAP, the following additional items would be recommended:
 
Fuel Pump
Injectors (I have some 540’s, however, given the turbo etc, larger may be advisable)
Uprated clutch could be an option but not essential
 
These upgrades should see a very safe and usable 350bhp, possibly more depending on how it responds and how far you’d like to push it.
 
Body wise, the car is pretty much free from rust, however, a tidy up would be good if you wanted to make her mint (my intention was to go a full bumper refit with respray, however, less could be done to be more cost effective. The bonnet has at one time flipped, so a replacement wouldn’t go a miss, however, again, these are cheap and readily available on forums, ebay etc)
 
Interior is standard, apart from:
 
·         Momo Deep Dish Alcantara Steering Wheel
·         CD Head Unit with Blue tooth
·         (Original wheel is here too)
 
Overall, this is a very good base project car, but, please do not expect a brand new car, nor show condition, if it was it would be £15k
Obviously, I am bound by ebay rules, however, may buy your car if you buy mine - however, i will simply be looking at selling your car on, as such would only be looking at giving book price for your car, which we could prior agree before I bought it from you.
