Reluctant sale of my beautiful unmolested 4.0L 1999 T reg TVR Chimaera in Rolex Blue with only 39,200 miles.
I have owned this car since 2007 and have done less than 5,000 in it in this time having purchased a TVR Cerbera shortly afterwards with having a small family the extras seats were needed. The car has always been garaged in my ownership and only came out on dry/sunny days for a blast around the Yorkshire hills.
The car was specified with an aluminium dash and Estoril wheels which help to make this car look a lot more modern than usual. If you are the sort of person who likes a classic sports car to be British racing green with a wooden dash then this car is definitely not for you.
The car is in good all round condition having had a 12,000 mile service last year and sounds great with the only major modification it has, that of a sports exhaust that sounds fantastic. The car also benefits from clear front and side indicators that give it a more modern look and suit the car better.
The chassis is in good condition with no outrigger issues as confirmed by my local TVR specialist. The car also benefits from outrigger protectors fitted within the front wheel arches.
The car has the addition of a 6 CD disc player in the boot which I believe works okay as I never use it as the exhaust noise is music to your ears.
Being a late version car it comes with power steering, sloping rear number plate, vertical boot opening and later rear lights.
The car is in beautiful Rolex Blue that looks more purple than blue and shimmers in the sunlight and gets glowing comments from both sexes. The interior is in Portland grey with black upper dash and carpets with Portland grey trim and comes with TVR embossed headrests.
The screen does have slight milking to the edge of the screen which is concealed with black tape.
The tyres are the much favoured Toyo R1 tyres and have only done 3000 miles since new.
Private reg TVR 961X included in the sale.
