vehicle description:
Hi all and thanks for looking at my advert
Just finished the renovation of this cracking TVR 350i and now
looking for my next wedge project meaning this ready to go wedge, is errrr,
“ready to go” J
So what do I have?
She is a 1985 TVR 350i in Arctic White with complementing black
leather seats piped in red with contrasting red dash / door cards and centre
console. She’s completed just 83,000 miles with a lovely service history; she
even has her very first MOT certificate from back in the day. She has
adjustable AVO’s all-round with drilled and vented 300mm front disc conversion
+ Wilwood 4 pot calipers beautifully finished in high gloss red
Paperwork wise about 3 inches worth, all laid out in chronological
order all in a red leather folder with a bespoke engraved plaque sporting the
car’s chassis number. The car has a nice private plate which will remain on the
car (original plate was = C254 FRN) and is HPI clear with MOT due towards the
end of October 2015.
When I bought the car she needed some work and I have not scrimped
on getting this old girl back to her former glory, which I have thoroughly
enjoyed. In total I’ve spent £2500 in the last few months, all receipts for
work documented, mainly by David Gerald TVR
The following work has just been completed: -
New outriggers
Full Service
New fuel lines front to back
New rear discs and pads with adjusted handbrake that actually
works
New Steering column bush
New water heater hoses
New track rod ends
Full Geometry set up front and back
Hood reconditioned

60 15 Bridgestone Tyres (6mm + tread)
New Wheel Nuts
New bespoke centre caps made with TVR logo
Seats out and full carpet / interior deep clean
Seats cleaned and fed leather
Stereo Storage Box fitted in dash
New Coolant Temp Sender
Replacement Throttle Potentiometer (uber rare)
Replacement Throttle Linkage
New Vacuum Advance Unit
New Distributor / Cap and Rotor Arm
All body decals removed, total body wet sand and re-polish (rear
spoiler removed)
New Matt Black “350i” Decals and side pin stripe fitted
New Matt Black Viper Stripes fitted (these can be very easily
removed should you wish)
New Wiper Blade fitted
New Door / Window Capping
New bespoke 3” Stainless exhaust tips fitted
Wing Mirrors Colour Coded in Matt Black
Correct wedge space saver wheel & cover purchased
Engine bay and chassis steam clean
New number plates
New rubber bumper edge strip fitted front & rear
New SD1 gearknob
……….phew!!!
She drives excellent with perfect oil pressure and spot on
temperatures, fans kick in as they should and she behalves great………she sounds
just right with the stainless steel exhaust system. Not too loud, not too quiet
and with the full suspension geo set up I have to say she’s possibly the best
handling wedge I’ve owned, and with those monster brakes, she stops on a dime J
The engine pulls very well indeed and at the recent “Wedgefest”
was dyno’d at 190.2 BHP and just shy of 200 ftlb of torque which is pretty much
spot for a standard and healthy 3.5 RV8. The North London dyno guys also
mentioned the drive train was equally healthy given the very minimal
transmission drag meaning the gearbox / clutch etc were given a clean bill of
health (which is good to know)
Body / paint wise is much improved following the recent wet sand
and polish, and from a few feet away looks great…..but she is over 30 years old
now so do not expect flawless or blemish free paint all round because she hasn’t
got that lol. Everything works electrics wise, even the cigar lighter but I
will say the fuel gauge is a bit funky, it does give a reading but I’m sure
it’s not right. I personally zero the miles when I fill up so no issues.
I’ve added a short video. A walk round of the car here = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2he-GY0L5w
Now all the jobs are done she is going back into David Gerald TVRthis week to have the timing all set then she will be all set for the new
owner.
I’m sure I’ve missed stuff but happy to chat or come and pop round
for a brew, the kettle is always on J
In summary she is over 30 year’s old and as such is not perfect
but she is IMHO a great solid and very usable example that can hold her own
with significantly more expensive TVR’s and importantly does not need any
further big investment or spend.
What else with a V8 can you buy that is “ready to go” for sub £5k?
I’m not selling this to make money, just really enjoyed getting
another wedge running 100% so time for find another wedge shaped project
***Now for the boring bit, full payment in cash or bank
transfer prior to car release, £250 deposit once auction closes, I will not
ship it anywhere, I would consider a PX but it would need to be a wedge shaped.
Cash either way depending on what you have***
