TVR CHIMAERA 400 HC model
Here we have my nicely presented and very well maintained TVR CHIMAERA 400 with the high compression engine fitted 
Firstly let me say - this is my own vehicle and is a regrettable sale but the opportunity of buying something special is forcing my hand along with some of my other classics so please read the listing before getting in touch as most things will be in the listing 
So.....  When I purchased the TVR i was like most people, very aware of the chassis issues and weak points to look out for and that"s the reason I bought this example as it"s simply great. My first job was the chassis so i blasted it off for a full thorough inspection on a ramp which backed up my initial viewing - no repairs or work was required and many pics taken at the time to prove.  
The chassis was then given several new coats of waxoyl and also cavity wax and grease in every possible place to ensure lots of life left in this one, again pics to prove as it was my intention to keep it. 
Bodywork.... The paintwork was generally good when I bought it but the lower front valence around the foglight area had paint cracks so I had the whole front end repainted as I wanted it right for summer, wings/bumper/bonnet all done and looks great!! 
Engine....Being the better 400 high comp engine it certainly isn"t a slouch but a few upgrades are always welcome so i rang RPI who specialise in the V8/TVR.  I got the uprated plugs, ht leads, amplifier, coil and obviously fully serviced it with fresh oils/fluids. It runs fantastic and has plenty of power in any gear! 
Gearbox/drivetrain......Borg Warner T5 gearbox as used in the sierra cosworth engages precisely with a very short throw and does  everything it should with no issues or untoward noises. Rear differential is the standard factory Limited Slip Diff item and again is exactly as it should be.  
Wheels/brakes all standard TVR but refurbished all round and spot on with lots of life in them yet 
Interior.... It"s a lovely place to be with low slung leather seats and a wrap around dash/console that has the period TVR style they are famous for.  All the electrical items work as they should. Leather would benefit from a new treatment to make it like new again but is certainly presentable for use straight away 
Roof ...... All intact and obviously being manual folds up/down with no issues but also benefits from being replaced not too long ago with a new rear screen too so all good there. 
History.... Simply masses of history, and was even once sold by HR Owen of London which only sell the best!   Lots and lots of service history, receipts and supporting documents to show every penny spent with reputable garages in its life plus an engine rebuild at around 40k at quite some expense. All previous mot"s back up the minimal milage covered over the last 10yrs or so and to be honest I probably only covered 300 mile in 12 months too so it really does need a new home where it will get used
Pictures and documents all here to back up the milage/condition and for it"s age it really is a very nice example that with some tlc could become a true stunner - leather treatment and new dash trim being on my list of summer jobs if I kept it as I don"t like the blue dash trim but these are readily available anyhow.  
Alarm/immobiliser fitted and battery trickle charger wired in the boot for when the cars in storage 
So there it is , hopefully a detailed description to give you an accurate account of the car and it"s current condition. This should save us both time and hassle as i have no time for that and simply want a genuine buyer please.  Viewings welcome with notice and only I will be driving with no exceptions even if you are the stig!
