here we have my old daily driver TVR S2. I bought it from a TVR dealership in Leicester, and used for a couple of years using it most days for a  few miles commute. I ended up with 3 other cars so it wasn"t getting used so I took it off the road to replace the seats and paint up the front suspension and chassis. I subsequently got married, had 2 kids and its never really had much attention :-( im looking to move house in next few weeks to a doer-upper house and I wont get chance to restore the TVR, so it needs to go.
this is the s2 model, using mostly for running gear, Granada/XR4x4 sierra engine and gearbox, Granada diff, and sierra brakes front and rear. I changed the brake servo to the later type used by TVR, but never plumbed in. I fitted a new clutch master cylinder and I have  new slave cylinder that needs to fit. Its had new headlamps fitted and uprated front springs (+10%). the front of the chassis was stripped and cleaned, painted with dinitrol rust preventative and then painted in Chassis black paint. Wishbones were painted with POR15 and then over painted with red smoothrite.
I have the original seats but they need rebuilding, foams knackered, webbings shot and leathers split. I was going to fit MX5 seats which is a popular mod. I have a pair by separate negotiation should the winning bidder want them. I have (I think) 4 part worn tyres as one of the fronts is perished and doesn"t hold air for longer than a couple of weeks.
the carpets were crap so I ripped them out ready to have re-trimmed but never got round  to it. the hood and roof panels are blue and I have some Renovo re-colour which really works well. I have the inner front wing sections to stop rod spray although they aren"t fitted in the pics.
the exhaust manifolds were pinholed in a  few places and had a poor repair on one of them from a PO so I sourced another good pair of stanless ones ready to fit along with a new pair of hockey stick downpipes in stainless (these get squashed and flattened over time over speed bumps--hence needed changing). the exhaust system is also stainless.
paintwork has suffered, theres some microblistering on a few panels, especially the bonnet and the paint has flaked away in a couple of places on the bonnet (was going to hide worst of it with a vinyl stripe).  generally the car looks good from 20 yds but needs work close up.
battery is long dead but it did  turn over last time I hooked up a slave battery.
the steering bearing in the bulkhead feels noisy (common problem) but is only about 20 quid to replace. the chassis has usual TVR surface rust although I cant find any holes, but really needs the whole car going through front to back, its a proper project make no mistake.
car is located in Shropshire SY5 nr shrewsbury. you are bidding to buy not kick the tyres and suck your teeth. Non returnable deposit for £200 via paypal, rest cash on collection.
