vehicle description:

2000 TVR TUSCAN Regrettable, genuine sale of my TVR TUSCAN.
The car itself was made in 2000, and I purchased it from the original owner earlier this year with the intention of driving to Le Mans for the 24 hours and having a bit of fun in the summer. That now done, with business commitments, an impending house move and a young family, I am struggling to justify keeping the car (particularly to the good lady indoors...) .
As stated, it has one owner prior to me and is fully HPi clear with no outstanding finance or previous crash damage. There are mountains of receipts totalling £1000"s for servicing work throughout its life that are up to date with itemised regular oil changes, all previous MOT"s, original handbook etc. The car has 2 sets of keys and is alarmed and immobilised.
Like the original owner - i like to think of myself as very mechanically sympathetic and the car is always properly warmed up before being driven in any way spiritedly. Also benefits from matched Toyo Proxes tyres on TVR Spider wheels. It starts on the button and drives as well as you would imagine, never fails to put a smile on my face and will be sorely missed.
The Bad
- Rear brake pads will need replacing soon (an advisory on last MOT - approx £60 for a set of EBC I believe)- The interior / seats require a little attention - a good trimmer may be able to rectify a small split in the drivers seat and the back of the passenger seat needs reaffixing - i have tried to highlight these issues in the photographs.- A couple of electrical gremlins - everything works, but it works in typical TVR fashion... The worst fault is the fact that the odometer has a habit of resetting itself - current mileage is 81.9 in total. Passenger door and both window switches take a little getting used to.- Pioneer CD Player / stereo has a very dim display and reception is poor.- Bodywork sound apart from some stone chips to leading edge of service bonnet.
The Good:
- Mechanically Sound and Drives perfectly- One Previous owner- HPi Clear- Masses of history- Both keys and fobs - Convertible roof and rear screen function perfectly and it makes a great summer convertible or coupe.- Car cover and Optimate battery charger included.- Probably as cheap as you will every find one!
I"m an honest guy and its an honest car - please do feel free to come and take your time to have a look all over the car, however I will be the only one driving unless I have cash in my hand to the tune of the asking price. Sorry but this separates the genuine buyers from the joyriders - they can also be a bit of a monster to the uninitiated.
I"m sure you are aware that these cars are appreciating - makes a great alternative to a BMW M3, Porsche 911, Maserati or similar. Most seem to be advertised around the £20k to £30k mark, and with the new TVR announced for production soon, it may make a decent investment.
I"ve priced the car at what i feel would make a great deal for somebody willing to give it a bit of a clean up and rectify these minor issues, or like me if you are more interested in the oily bits - use it as it should be. I"m not a trader and not out to make a profit so not really interested in any form of part exchange or swap - an honest cash or bank transfer sale only please.
Available to view at any time in Poole, Dorset (postcode BH14) . Feel free to drop me, James, a line at work on 01202 744244 or anytime on 07765976683 with any enquiries / questions.
