As many of you are aware I"ve been selling my collection of Volvo"s due to moving and no longer having the luxury of a basement carpark. (my neighbours that did not drive kindly let me occupy their spaces)
All the 240"s have gone I"m afraid, except the red GLT estate which I might sell.
So this auction is for my V70 T5 Estate in Nautic blue. This has been the family car since I bought it but too many cars on the go has left this one in need of a lot of TLC.
I will upload more detailed photos shortly, ANNOYINGLY the photo loader would not load my photos properly so I"ll add more when in work. The bonnet has laquer peel and needs redoing so be aware. It"s been sitting for two months but started on the button yesterday. It"s by no means mint but it"s an absolute wolf in sheeps clothing-you hear it said all the time but it just is!
240bhp sensible family estate :) Plus the mileage is extremely low and it still has MOT until Nov 16th 2016 so you can drive it away and tax it.
This has been my favourite Volvo of the lot but I don"t have the space to keep it so what do I do? Part of me wanted to restore it as they"re are so fewer of them with low mileage.
Part of me wanted to drop it into one of the 240"s, but no it"ll just sit around so it needs a happy home.
I would advise popping round to see it so I can show you the flaws. The steering rack is the first mention as it leaks. It has done so since the previous owner but I"ve always just topped it up and that"s been fine. I don"t like the oil patches so planned to get a new or recon"d rack in the new year.
The bonnet as mentioned has laquer peel quite bad now. I"ve noticed the Nautic blue Volvos suffered more than any other colour with this-yet another thing low down on my list of priorities to sort.
The car is not mint, it does have chips, it does have some dings here and there-that"s why you come and view first.
The rear bumper took a knock last year when a delightful woman on her phone rear ended us, it wasn"t a fast shunt as we were turning into the hospital carpark but it was enough to take paint of the bumper, to add to that she bent off the last 6 inches of the tail on the exhaust.
These are becoming very rare and collectable, 240bhp with 120k on the clock-were it not for the bonnet laquer and the steering rack it would be up for about £3000, I just want it to go to a good home.

The Volvo 240 GLT estate is sitting on the drive, come and view that as well if you like. It"s signal red and has 98k on the clock, the fuel pumps have gone and it needs new tyres. I drove it less than 3 months ago but it dragged crap from the bottom of the tank where it was low. Yet another project that needs to go. It turns over fine.
The interior is mental, so very very clean. Previous owner used to treat the leather with Audi leather care.
