Welcome to the auction for my Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition 2012.
I have owned the car since February this year and the only reason for selling is that we are looking to move house and I need to free up some money. I have a van that I use for work and my partner has a car, so it is hardly used and sits on the drive for most of the time. Such a shame as it"s a brilliant car and it will be sadly missed.
Those of you who are looking for a Nurburgring VXR will already know the big differences from a standard VXR. These include uprated Bilstein suspension, factory fitted hi-flow stainless steel exhaust, Drexler limited slip differential, Brembo brakes, front lip spoiler and Forge Motorsport alloy wheels. The engine is also uprated to 202bhp.
Along with all the above extras over a standard Corsa VXR, it also has the following modifications:
*Rear windows and rear screen tinted
*Wing mirrors painted gloss black
*VXR graphics professionally applied
*New Brembo drilled front and rear brake discs and pads fitted
*4 nearly new Continental Sport tyres
*Alloy wheel rim protectors fitted
*Wheel arch protectors fitted
*Front bumper and grille re-sprayed (no damage just usual stone chips, and it spoilt the look of the car as the bodywork everywhere else is immaculate)
*Front grille sprayed gloss black
*£700 upgraded Zenec Satellite navigation system with digital television tuner, DVD+CD player, mp3 input and USB input
*Uprated speakers
*Auto dimming rear view mirror
*LED daytime running light upgrade
*Gloss black headlight brows

*Custom engine ECU re-map by Nick Lawrence (Severn Valley Motorsport) - It is now running 1.1bar and around 225bhp. This has improved the driveability and economy of the car.

The car really is in brilliant condition, the interior is spotless and I have the car professionally valeted twice a month. There are no dents, scratches or marks on the bodywork anywhere and is a real testament to the previous owner who maintained it regardless of cost. He was a Doctor who used the car for a daily commute of 120 miles (hence the slightly high mileage) but please don"t be put off by this, I was a little sceptical at first but when I saw the amount of paperwork, invoices and service records I was confident that the car had really been looked after. He even had it serviced twice in one month as his usual Vauxhall garage was unable to carry the service out when required, so he used another Vauxhall garage instead and then got his usual garage to carry out another service later that month! I have owned lots of high performance cars (Subaru"s, Evo"s, ST"s etc) but I have never seen so much paperwork and history with a car, there is literally a complete binder full.
It goes without saying that the car comes with a full Vauxhall service history (and was only serviced about 1000 miles ago) the original wallet and instruction manuals, and 2 keys.
The cars drive without fault and looks great with all the extras modifications. The performance modifications are very subtle and more importantly safe and have genuinely transformed the car. It took me a long time to find this car as there are not that many about, and I will be very sad to see it go, but needs must and I"m sure the new owner will be very happy. This is a car that needs to be driven and enjoyed, not parked on a drive.
This is a genuine sale for a genuine car and I would appreciate the same with any potential buyers. Please no time wasters or silly offers or part exchanges, I don"t need another car, sorry! I have priced the car to sell and have reflected the higher mileage in the price. Other Nurburgring VXR"s (albeit with lower mileages) but without all the extras that this one has are going for £8000 upwards.
I appreciate that the mileage is high, but as I mentioned earlier, this was because the previous owner had a motorway commute of over 120 miles a day. The engine, gearbox and everything else mechanically is excellent with no noises or faults.
