This car is being sold as spares or repair as it failed its MOT. The majority of work needing done is on the brakes, as the car has sat un-used for nearly 6 months due to working away from home. I was quoted about £800 to fix her but given the age and mileage, I cant justify spending that. However someone who is mechanically minded could have her back on the road at minimal cost. The worst case scenario would be discs and pads all round, calipers and handbrake adjustment. I would imagine a complete strip down and clean might be sufficient with rear pads needing replaced, which could be done by any mechanically minded person. I can give more details on request.
The car CANNOT be driven away due to brakes and WILL need trailered away.
This car was purchased as a second vehicle 3 years ago and has been great to drive. It has a TDi tuning box which boosts the engine to 205BHP giving it better performance and 60mpg on a long run.
It is the HIGHEST possible spec for a Volvo S80 being the Executive model with Automatic transmission and 2.4 D5 engine. (£35k new) see spec below:

Not so Good Points:
The Park Assist and Navigation are not working allthough they worked fine before. This could be a fuse but ive never looked into it.
There are a couple of center caps missing on the alloys and a small cap on the rear bumper.
A couple of minor parking dings hardly worth mentioning.
The whole car will need a full valet inside and out and cleans up really nice.
 
Over all this car is way to good to scrap however if it doesnt sell then that will be my only option. I have spent nearly £1000 in last couple of years on maintaining this car and all receipts are present. The Mileage is very high at 230K but the engine is smooth, powerful and economical. There is part-service history and there is a record of the timing belt being replaced at 90k but not sure if there has been one since. As I have stated, I believe this to be an easy fix for someone with the mechanical know how and as its a Volvo, will run forever if well maintained.
