For sale 1986 Reliant scimitar ss1 1.6 cvh
I am selling my scimitar ss1 as i have just bought a van and also have a scimitar gte so wont get to use this. The car is mechanically very good with lots of little bits and pieces sorted since i have owned it the only thing it could do with mechanically is the carburetor needs a little bit of tweaking as it has a bit of a flat spot but otherwise drives fine.
The car is cosmetically a little bit scruffy the paint has been touched up in a couple of places with different colour reds and the boot paint is poor as can be seen in the pictures also the rubber scrapper strips on both windows have perished and cracked. The soft top is ok with no rips in the hood or window but is starting to get a bit scruffy on both front corners.
The car drives really well and the chassis is completey free of any corrosion i am willing to jack the car on to axle stands to show how good it is. I have fitted the following since owning the car:
*New battery
*New rear wheel brake cylinder
*New dmtl weber carburetor (original dft carb included could possibly be refurbed)
*New front anti roll bar polyurethane D-bush
*New front anti roll bar drop links
*New rear anti roll bar polyurethane D-bush
*A pair of good second hand stengthened front wishbones
*A good second hand offside rear wishbone
*New petrol filler cap
The car has MOT till 06/06/15 and comes with a spare key and some service history and old MOT certificates back to 1990 the car also  comes with the hard top  in the pictures. please get in contact with any questions or to arrange a viewing
