| “Spares and Repairs. No M.O.T. Still running, injector pump on the way out, starting to leak from seals. Reversing lights and parking sensors temperamental after having new clutch fitted 2 years ago by Tim Fry. The storage compartment in the boot leaks, this is a common fault. The Driver's side passengers door check strap has broken off, other passenger's door has been welded to the pillar yet another Freelander fault. The last M.O.T had an advisory on a weeping shock absorber. All of this sounds bad but as we have pointed out, a lot of this is common faults with a Freelander. Now for the good bits- low mileage for the year of the car, has been a good runner until the problem started with the fuel pump, GKN viscous coupling and GKN support bearings , not like a lot of after market ones that don't fit properly. The bodywork and interior is in fair condition for age. The vehicle has been Sorn since December 2015.” |
