My MGF Wedgewood Steptronic
Someone ran into the back of me last week and my Insurance Company decided to write the car off because a new bumper and exhaust is needed and they deemed it beyond economical repair, so selling as Spares & Repair.
It drives fine and just sounds noisy because of the crack in the exhaust back box. I drove home approximately 45 miles after the accident.
I was going to keep it as the damage to the bumper is very difficult to see, so all that needs to be done is a new back box fitted.
I have included pictures of the bumper, approximate a 2 inch crack on bumper, and the Back Box which has a crack in it. That was the extent of the damage.
The car has covered less than 200 miles since last MOT. Next MOT due Sept 2022.
It has had recently:
A New Catalytic Converter (See Pic)4 New TyresNew Head Gasket (July 2020) @ 60,000 miles at a cost of £600New Cambelt Kit at 43,000 miles at a cost of £183.00
Lots of other receipts.
It has a full Professional Underseal, see picture.
Please note that this car is almost 22 years old, it is not perfect, it will have the odd scratch and blemish but is a very good example of this British Classic. Please be sensible when collecting, it is being Sold for Spares & Repair and is 22 years old.
It will need a new Plastic Rear Screen, I was going to get this replaced before using it next Spring/Summer
It drives fine and just sounds noisy because of the crack in the exhaust back box. Up to you whether you want it recovered on a truck or drive it home. In my opinion it will drive to Scotland and back with no issue whatsoever, if you can stand the noise of the exhaust.
