Welcome to my classified ad for my TVR Chimaera 500. I have owned this car since 2013 and have enjoyed every minute of ownership. In that time, I have ensured that any work required was done to the car and serviced her myself. Around 1 year ago, I decided that in place of an engine rebuild, I would replace the entire unit with an upgraded 500 engine. This was sourced through Steve Strange and fitted myself with all new ancillaries and uprated clutch. I have since traced the previous owner of the engine and spoken to them at length about its history and found that it was subject to a no expense spared rebuild about 10k miles before the vehicle it was in left the road due to a diesel spillage.
The car is in great condition and, as with all TVRs, does need a few bits doing. These are primarily DIY tasks that I am no longer able to complete due to illness. These are:
Lower dash needs recovering (Materials supplied)Battery needs securing in bootFusebox needs securing behind passenger seatChassis is in good condition and still has the original outriggers.. I would imagine that these will need to be looked at in the next 3 years but have not been mentioned in any MOT or inspection. I will include any parts I still have with the car such as a full set of bushes (£380!!) and a copy of Steve Heaths bible for the Chimaera..
