1968 tax and MOT exempt
Full restoration has taken place and on completion sailed through its first MOT last year
This car is now MOT exempt due to this years changes
Pictures show the chassis and the original engine prior to the body being put back on ,
Lots of new parts and mods added to this van
Complete braking system ,
New / reclaimed 850cc engine taken from a Reliant Rialto , 16000 miles
This has a mod to gear box allowing the syncro box to be used ,
Running on SU carbs with air intake modification allowing more access in engine bay
water temperature gauge added to dash
Alternator changed over from original Dynamo system
This engine and box runs as good as you can get
New radiator
New tyres x4
New wiper motor and wipers and water jets
New wipers
New fuse box and switches
New brake lines ,shoes ,master cylinder , flexi hoses , pistons ,
New fuel line,
New battery and battery tray manufactured
New number plate light and bulbs all round
Leather Seats taken out of Peugeot 309 GTI
New seat belts
New carpets , hand made ,
New door shut rubbers
Original paint was removed and then reapplied and dirt air brushed in to places copied from various pictures and cars used in OFAH
Paint then clear coated to leave a dull affect
All other parts have been repainted and refurbished
Dog guard fitted no rear seats , but they could be fitted if you require and source the correct parts
Lots of man hours has been put in to this car , a few improvements can still be added
This is my second car restored and this one is far the best due to the looks and the reliability of the engine
Item has to go as I no longer have the room for this car
Please be aware this car is 50 years old and drives like a 50 year old car , the GTI seats do hold you in a better position , pictures to be added
The 850cc engine does get you up to speed quickly
Braking system is a 50 year old design and needs carful driving
Even though I have changed all components
Bad points
Fuel gauge does not work due to alternator / current change
New gauge could be fitted but sender unit not the best in the tank
Carpets could do with going back to the factory standard , at a cost of £200 approx.
no radio fitted / areal not fitted ,hole has been drilled ready for fitting
This car would be an ideal business opportunity due to the changes and the extensive rework done to the car making it more reliable and usable
Rear seats could be fitted for passengers for weddings / stag nights / proms and any other occasion
